Before you enter Palawan’s paradise, take note of all the important travel advisories and guidelines to keep both tourists and locals safe.

Entry Requirements

CORON

GENERAL GUIDELINES

  • Only fully vaccinated domestic tourists are allowed to enter. Minors must be accompanied by fully vaccinated parents / guardians / elder siblings.
  • Minors must also present a negative RT-PCR test result conducted within 72 hrs if coming from outside Palawan. While those coming from within Palawan (except Calamianes) must present a negative Antigen test result conducted within 24 hrs.
  • Multiple hotel bookings are allowed as long as these are booked and submitted during the S-PaSS application. Hotel transfer on-site is not available.
  • Exclusive joiner tour/diving is allowed as long as it is booked and submitted during S-PaSS application. Tour and diving transfer on-site is not available.

  • Negative antigen test result (QR coded with attached receipt) or negative saliva test result (through the Philippine Red Cross) – should be conducted within 24 hours before boarding any mode of transporation.

  • Roundtrip ticket

CULION

GENERAL GUIDELINES

  • Bubble system must apply.
  • Only DOT-accredited establishments are allowed to open using Point-to-Point system.
  • Only fully vaccinated guests are allowed.
  • With age restriction

INBOUND PASSENGERS

The entry of returning citizens, and APORs, including other essential workforce to the Municipality of Coron shall be governed by a registration and validation process, through the S-PASS to be administered by the EOC Personnel.

 

All inbound travelers, except tourists coming from the NCR Plus or from other Regions or from LGUs with active COVID-19 cases, must submit the following travel requirements to EOC Coron prior to departure:

  • Photocopy of a valid identification card or ID
  • Photocopy of approved S-PASS Travel Coordination Permit
  • Photocopy of negative Swab-based RT-PCR Test Result (with attached Official Receipt) or Saliva-based RT-PCR Test Result (administered by the Philippine Red Cross) taken within 72 hours (upon date and time collected) before boarding, except those APORs.
    • All negative results will be subjected to a corresponding validation procedure by EOC Coron
  • All inbound travelers, particularly resident APORs and returning citizens, except tourists that came from the NCR Plus areas and from other regions, or LGUs outside Palawan shall no longer adhere with the 14-day Facility-based Quarantine Protocols of the Municipality of Coron provided that the inbound traveler is fully vaccinated and has submitted all the necessary requirements.
  • All unvaccinated minor inbound travelers accompanied by their parents or guardian that came from the NCR Plus areas and from other regions or LGUs outside Palawan who are fully vaccinated will be subject to 7-day home quarantine and will be required to undergo an Antigen Test on day 7.
  • All non-fully vaccinated inbound travelers, particularly APORs and Returning Citizens that came from NCR Plus area and from other regions or LGUs outside Palawan will be required to submit themselves to the 7-day facility-based quarantine protocol and said inbound travelers shall undergo an Antigen Test on day 7.
  • Prior to departure from point of origin, all inbound travelers shall first secure a Certificate of Coordination from EOC Coron for purposes of further strengthening the establishment of stringent surveillance and monitoring systems of LGU
  • All inbound travelers, particularly resident APORs and returning citizens, except tourists that came from the NCR Plus areas and from other regions, or LGUs outside Palawan shall no longer adhere with the 14-day Facility-based Quarantine Protocols of the Municipality of Coron provided that the inbound traveler is fully vaccinated and has submitted all the necessary requirements.
  • All unvaccinated minor inbound travelers accompanied by their parents or guardian that came from the NCR Plus areas and from other regions or LGUs outside Palawan who are fully vaccinated will be subject to 7-day home quarantine and will be required to undergo an Antigen Test on day 7.
  • All inbound travelers who are fully vaccinated that manifesting COVID-19 symptoms during his stay in the municipality shall be immediately quarantined at the Municipal Isolation Facility or any authorized similar facility-based isolation, and likewise will be subjected to a COVID-19 confirmatory test (either thru an RT-PCR test or Antigen Test). And if the COVID-19 confirmatory test yielded a positive result, the subject person will be isolated for 14 days. As such, he will undergo an antigen test on day 15.
  • All inbound travelers who are NOT fully vaccinated that manifesting COVID-19 symptoms during his stay in the municipality shall be immediately quarantined at the Municipal Isolation Facility or any authorized similar facility-based isolation, and likewise will be subjected to a COVID-19 confirmatory test (either thru an RT-PCR test or Antigen Test). And if the COVID-19 confirmatory test yielded a positive result, the subject person will be isolated for 21 days.
  • All inbound travelers that have been tested positive using the Antigen will also be quarantined in the Municipal Isolation Facility and likewise be tested using a RT-PCR for confirmatory test in pursuance with existing DOH guidelines.
  • All uncoordinated inbound travelers without necessary required travel documents that came from NCR Plus and from other regions or from LGUs outside Palawan will be required to submit themselves to the 21-day mandatory facility-based quarantine protocol. As such, a corresponding case blotter will be filed at PNP-MPS Coron.
  • All inbound travelers that will be subjected for quarantine inside a BQF or through a facility-based quarantine (as pre-determined by EOC-Coron) for 14 days shall be the one to shoulder all pertinent expenses. Home quarantine and company or office-based shelter is not an option.
  • APORs from National Government Agencies and their attached agencies shall not be required to secure an RT-PCR Negative Test Result or RT-PCR Saliva Negative Test Result. However, they are required to provide their identification card, travel order, travel itinerary, and approved S-PASS, and should pass the symptom-screening at identified points of entry and exit.
    • All APORs that falls under this category will be subjected to a controlled and regulated movement, and as such, to refrain himself from doing any non-essential activities or movements while staying in the Municipality of Coron.
  • All airlines should ensure that persons traveling to Coron will provide them a photocopy of the Certificate of Coordination issued by EOC Coron prior to the issuance or purchase of ticket. Any uncoordinated inbound passenger will be denied.
  • For fully vaccinated, not fully vaccinated, and unvaccinated APOR or other essential workforce arriving in Coron Municipality doing transactions less than 7 days, the following additional protocols shall be applied:
    • Submit to EOC Coron a copy of the Travel Order/Mission Order/Itinerary of Travel duly signed by their employer or supervisor.
    • Provide EOC Coron a copy of the returning ticket
    • He will be the one to pay for his accommodation, as well as all meal expenses, and other related expenses in a hotel or similar establishments pre-determined by the municipal government in conformance with his travel itinerary. Home quarantine is not an option.
    • In the performance of his task or transaction, he will be confined to a contained environment policy, point to point travel destination, and controlled and limited movement protocols in the entire duration of his itinerary. Strict adherence with the minimum local health protocols and compliance will be required.
    • He will not be required to do any non-essential movement and/or to even roam around in public places unless duly authorized by the EOC.
    • The municipal government may impose additional health and safety measures, as it may deem proper.
  • All Returning Citizens, APORs, and other workforce that arrived in Coron that have been identified as probable and suspected COVID-19 patients, whose Antigen test results are still pending, RT-PCR test on COVID-19 will be required to undergo a facility-based quarantine as identified by LGU Coron until such the test results have been released.
  • EOC Coron will provide all arriving inbound travelers a service vehicle that will transport them to their respective facility-based quarantine. Likewise, the payment of transportation fare will be shouldered by said travelers.
  • The movement of all types of cargoes by air across the areas in the Municipality of Coron shall be unhampered. However, all its crew or personnel who are also categorized as APOR will not be allowed to leave or disembark their respective vessels.
  • Arrivals of emergency, essential and or coordinated travels coming from any point of origin outside the Province of Palawan or those coming from other LGUs (with or without any COVID-19 transmission cases) shall be coordinated first with the EOC of point of origin, which shall in turn coordinate with EOC Coron. All persons arriving in Coron is hereby directed to strictly adhere and commit to the observance of the local health protocols.
  • All APORs and Returning Citizens are strongly advised to adhere with the guidelines and precautionary measures provided by the municipal government through the Municipal Inter Agency Task Force on COVID-19 to avoid further spread of the virus and mitigate its potential health and safety effects in the Municipality of Coron.
  • The Municipal Government of Coron, through EOC Coron, reserves the right to approve or deny any entry to the municipality of all uncoordinated arrivals of inbound passengers without the corresponding travel requirements.
ROF

(Returning Overseas Filipinos)

  • Present vital documentary documents issued by the National Government, including RT-PCR results, prior to his arrival in LGU Coron
  • Fully vaccinated ROFs coming from the NCR Plus and from other regions or LGUs with negative RT-PCR test result shall no longer be subjected to the facility-based quarantine protocol of the LGU.
  • All non-fully vaccinated and unvaccinated ROFs coming from the NCR Plus and from other regions or LGUs will be required to submit themselves to the 7-day mandatory facility-based quarantine protocol. Said ROFs shall undergo an Antigen Test on day 7.
  • All ROFs that will be subjected for quarantine inside a BQF or through a facility-based quarantine (as pre-determined by EOC Coron) for 7 days shall be the one to shoulder all pertinent expenses. Home quarantine and company or office-based shelter is not an option.

TOURIST
GUIDELINES FOR POINT TO POINT/BUBBLE TOURISM

 

Who are allowed:

  • All FULLY VACCINATED domestic tourists and foreigners (particularly those already staying in the Philippines before the start of the pandemic) coming from the NCR Plus Areas or from other LGUs outside Palawan Province
  • Minors accompanied by fully vaccinated parents, legal guardians, elder siblings are allowed subject to compliance with the local entry requirement guidelines of the LGU.
  • Fully vaccinated individuals are those who are on their 15th day after receiving their respective 2nd dose of their vaccines, such as but not limited to the following: Moderna, Pfizer, Sinovac, Astra Zeneca, and Sputnik V. And likewise, those individuals who have received their respective single dose vaccines, such as but not limited to Johnson and Johnson, two (2) weeks before the day of travel. 
  • ENTRY REQUIREMENTS FOR TOURISTS:
  • Valid ID
  • COVID-19 Vaccination Card issued by a legitimate institution or DOH accredited laboratory
  • Copy of Negative swab-based QR Coded RT-PCR Test Result processed by accredited molecular laboratories or Saliva Test conducted by Philippine Red Cross with official receipt taken within 72 hours from date and time collection of specimens prior to boarding.
  • Confirmed hotel, tour or diving booking/itinerary
  • Approved S-PASS travel application
  • GUIDELINES FOR TOURISTS:
  • Mandatory checking of travel requirements at the Tourism Info Desk inside the airport
  • Submit luggage/s for disinfection upon arrival at the entry points
  • Mandatory validation of approved S-PASS application at the Tourism Info Desk inside the arrival area
  • All tourists are required to pay the Environmental Fee of P200.00 at the Tourist One Stop Shop area located inside Coron Airport or in any LGU assigned entry points.
  • Must use resort owned or rented transport vehicles in case of land transfer from the airport on a 50% capacity
  • Must stay within the resort at all times
  • Are to observe minimum health standards and follow existing laws, ordinances and protocols
  • All expenses such as but not limited to medical, hotel, rebooking of tickets borne out of the additional health protocols or in case of COVID-19, shall be on the account of the tourist. This is applicable when:
    • Tourist manifest symptoms or test positive for COVID-19
    • Tourist was exposed to co-tourist
    • Tourist was exposed to local
  • Tourists that have been tested positive with COVID-19 will be immediately quarantine inside the designated hotel isolation room or will be referred to the nearest health care facility, if needed, until he/she has fully recovered.
  • Tourist/guest shall submit himself to comply with the minimum public health standards and adherence to the existing national laws, ordinances and policies being imposed by the Municipal Government of Coron.

NOTES:

1. Application to Travel Coordination Permit shall be applied at least 24 hours before travel date.

2. Accommodation and meal expenses will be shouldered by the individual while on quarantine.

3. Acceptance of travelers may be deferred once quarantine facilities are fully occupied.

4. Arriving passengers shall be transferred directly to pick-up points going to Culion.
